TO ANY SIX APART and/or LJ STAFF MEMBER, still trigger-happy after the original Strikethrough 2007 and all subsequent witch-hunts:
BEFORE DELETING MY LJ FOR NO SANE, JUSTIFIABLE REASON, PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING
(and if, after reading the following in its entirety, you still insist upon unfairly deleting me, at least have the common decency to NOTIFY ME IN ADVANCE so that I will have enough time to back up my journal and move it to an ethical blog-hosting site):
1. Fandom is NOT ILLEGAL. I realize that my LJ is at risk for deletion simply because I list among my interests terms such as "Harry Potter," "X-Files," "Star Trek," and "Doctor Who." I can only hope that you have a modicum of common sense enough to refrain from said deletion.
2. The term "interest" does NOT, I repeat, DOES NOT automatically mean "something I ENJOY." Although I list "caregiving" as an interest, I do NOT find it enjoyable at all; to the contrary, it's quite stressful. That should be obvious to anyone - and it's certainly no excuse for deleting a person's LJ.
3. My username is NOT ILLEGAL. While the "evil" portion of my username is sure to offend your "religious"-extremist puppetmasters who don't understand the concept of "context", I assure you that I am NOT a satanist, politician, telemarketer, terrorist, Joan Rivers, or any other demonic sort of stereotype with which you may obtusely brand me. My username is simply an in-joke among some of my friends.
4. Foreign languages are NOT ILLEGAL. Linguistics, history and theology are interests of mine, and some of the like-minded communities to which I belong have chosen names in foreign languages that best befit their topic and/or speciality. Deleting a community -- or anyone who even belongs to such a community -- simply because you can't be bothered to translate its foreign language is beyond ignorance, and borders on xenophobia, discrimination, and/or hate crime.
5. Friendslocked journals are NOT ILLEGAL. (If you object to them so strenuously, then why do you even provide the friends-only option??) You deleted several journals based on nothing more than a few earmarked keywords and the dubious notion that ALL non-public journals that you flagged must automatically be horribly guilty for hiding their content from you. I have a perfectly valid reason for making my LJ friendslocked, thank you very much, and my journal does NOT contain any manner of illegal or harmful content whatsoever. Don't believe me? Friend me and read it for yourself - IF you're interested in justice, that is, rather than face-saving simpering to fanatical "religious" groups and/or potential future stockholders.
6. What kind of imbecile thinks that X-Files equals XXX-Files, and then proceeds to delete perfectly innocent, delightfully intellectual X-Files discussion communities? Yes, you reinstated them -- after taking your sweet time before doing so -- but the damage was already done, and cannot be undone, especially with empty placations.
TO SUMMARIZE, MY LJ IS NOT HARMFUL, ILLEGAL, IMMORAL, OR FATTENING. I HAVE BROKEN NO LAWS AND HAVE OFFENDED NO "RELIGIOUS" GROUPS. KINDLY LEAVE ME AND MY LJ ALONE. RESTRICT YOUR GUNSIGHTS TO THE LJs OF ABSOLUTELY-100-PERCENT-CONFIRMED PEDOPHILES, AND STOP DELETING INNOCENT PEOPLE WHOSE ONLY "WRONG" IN YOUR EYES IS EITHER SURVIVING A TRAUMATIC EXPERIENCE OR LISTING THE TITLE OF A FANDOM IN THEIR INTEREST LIST.
